Why Latino-Americans Seafarers?

  • After Covid situation, the need of keeping crew rotation has increased, regardless limitations and restrictions. Many companies have signed the “Neptune Declaration” in order to do their best for granting to seafarers the safe and uptime return to home.

  • The global supply of seafarers is led by China, Philippines, India, Indonesia, Russia and Baltic countries. Those countries have been strongly beaten by the pandemic situation and travelling restrictions.

  • Many Owners have been considering alternative crew that fill up their standards, support their traditional crew and create a multicultural environment onboard their ships.

  • Depends on the country, Latino American don’t require special visas for working around the world (Eg: Schengen Visa is not required for Venezuelan, Colombian, Brazilian, Panamanian, others)

  • Most of the Latino American Officers have a College Degree which is in compliance with STCW-95.
